What WorkVive is
WorkVive is a noticeboard for hourly and part-time work in Dublin. Businesses post jobs; people who are looking for work tell us when and where they can work; when the two line up we show each side the other, and if both say yes we give each the other's phone number. That's all we do. We don't employ anyone, we don't interview or vet anyone, and we don't take part in what happens after the phone call.
For people looking for work
- WorkVive is free for you and always will be. Nobody from WorkVive will ever ask you for money.
- You must be at least 16 and allowed to work in Ireland. What you tell us about your right to work is your own declaration; the business will check it when they hire you, as they're required to.
- Keep what you tell us true. If your shifts or plans change, change them on your page.
- You stay on the list for 14 days at a time. We'll ask before that ends whether you're still looking.
- You can remove yourself at any time from your page, and everything we hold about you goes with it.
For businesses
- Posting is free. A job must be a real, lawful job at your business, paying at least the legal minimum, with the pay rate and hours stated honestly.
- Seeing the people who put their hand up for a job costs €49, once, for that job's 14 days. If you don't hire, you can repost free for another 14 days and the unlock carries over. The €49 is not refunded.
- You see a person's name and phone number only after they've said yes to talking to you. Use those details for that job and nothing else: no lists, no marketing, no passing them on.
- Checking right to work, contracts, pay and everything else about employing someone is between you and them. WorkVive isn't an employment agency and doesn't act for either side.
- If people tell us you don't respond or that a job wasn't as described, we may take your jobs down.
The usual things, in plain words
- We can't promise anyone a job or anyone a hire. We show people to each other; the rest is up to you.
- We do our best to keep the site running, but it may be down or have mistakes sometimes, and we're not liable for losses that come from that beyond what the law requires.
- Don't misuse the site: no fake jobs, no fake people, no scraping, no harassment. We can remove anyone who does.
- These terms are governed by Irish law. If we change them in a way that matters, we'll say so on this page.
